About Maurice Baynard (Host)
Maurice Baynard is a research scientist, educator and edtech entrepreneur. He currently tries not to bore sleep-deprived undergrads while lecturing on all things neurobiologically-related (We see your eyes drooping).
He is the co-founder of edIQ, a firm providing digital resources to underserved schools and managing partner of CastBright, a digital solutions company that co-produced Drexel’s 10,000 Hours podcast for Drexel University Online.
Maurice holds a master’s degree in cell and molecular biology from Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed his doctoral work in sleep and chronobiology at the Unit for Experimental Psychiatry in the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
About Shaun Byron Fitzpatrick (Producer)
Shaun Byron Fitzpatrick is a digital content specialist for Drexel University Online. She’s worked in grants administration and as a ghost writer, and once won an award for a set of stories she wrote about a door-to-door condom salesman (really).
Shaun graduated with a BA and an MA in English from The College of New Jersey. She’s also a freelance writer whose work has appeared on Condé Nast Traveler, Bustle, The Barnes & Noble Teen Blog and Kirkus Indie Reviews.
About Nathan Barrick (Producer)
Nathan Barrick is a videographer, editor, producer and creator of all things digital media at Drexel University Online. Prior to Drexel, he worked at a commercial production company in his native North Carolina making award-winning videos for the furniture, automotive, healthcare, fashion and arcade game industries.
When he isn’t behind a camera (or computer screen), you’ll find him cooking dinner for his loving wife or putting his BA in Music to good use entertaining himself.
